<STRONG>Council</STRONG><BR><BR>ALAC is&nbsp; governed by an eight member Council appointed by the Governor-General on the recommendation of the Minister of Health. The Council meets monthly to ensure we are meeting our <A href="http://www.alac.org.nz/CorporateReports.aspx" target=_blank>strategic and business objectives</A>. Council

ALAC is  governed by an eight member Council appointed by the Governor-General on the recommendation of the Minister of Health. The Council meets monthly to ensure we are meeting our strategic and business objectives. Council appointment is for three years with a right of renewal for one term.

Kaumātua Advisory Group

ALAC has a Kaumātua Advisory Group, whose primary role is to guide and support Council to be responsive to Māori needs and aspirations.  Current Kaumātua are:

 

Ÿ    Northern Region Kaumātua – Nellie Rata

Ÿ    Central Region Kaumātua – Pihopa Kingi

Ÿ    Southern Region Kaumātua – Te Whe Phillips.
