ALAC is committed to reducing heavy drinking and the associated harms among young people. A key strategy in the 2002 - 2007 Strategic Plan states that:

"ALAC will encourage and support community action targeted at reducing the illegal and irresponsible supply of alcohol to young people".

Communities involved in tackling Youth Access to Alcohol (YATA) use a variety of approaches to tackling the problem of alcohol access.  Search below to discover some of the initiatives that communities have undertaken.
