Activities & Services

The Activities & Services section of the website has information about what ALAC is doing to achieve the overall goal of 'less harm from alcohol'.

Priority populations

Alcohol use has a disproportionate effect on different populations of people in New Zealand. The results of the 2007/08 New Zealand Alcohol and Drug Use Survey show that some population groups, such as young people, Māori and Pacific peoples are more likely to experience disproportionate amounts of harm due to alcohol use.
